Commuter scooter

Built for the ride to work.
And the one back.

The S Nova is iSinwheel's commuter scooter: a 500 W rated motor that peaks at 600 W, 8.5-inch tube-type pneumatic tires, and suspension at both ends on an aluminium frame that folds in one motion. The four headline numbers are above; these are the ones that decide whether it suits your route.

49.2 lb, folds to 20.1 in tall

iSinwheel measures range in a laboratory at full charge and publishes 17–19 miles. Real-world range depends on rider weight, hills, temperature, speed and tire pressure — several owner reviews specifically mention hills draining it faster.

Performance

500 watts rated.
600 at maximum.

iSinwheel publishes both figures for this motor, which is more honest than most: 500 W is what it is rated to hold, 600 W is the ceiling it reaches. That carries the scooter to 20 mph and up grades of 15 percent — a commuter's numbers, not an off-roader's, and the manufacturer positions it that way.

Range

Up to 19 miles.
Measured in a lab.

The 36 V 7.8 Ah pack is rated for 17 to 19 miles, and iSinwheel says plainly that the figure comes from a laboratory at 100 percent charge and varies with load, humidity, wind and riding habits. Take 19 as the ceiling of a commute, not a promise — and if your route is hilly, plan on less.

Ride quality

Suspension at both ends.
On 8.5-inch air.

A C-shaped front suspension and a rear spring work with 8.5-inch tube-type pneumatic tires. Air-filled tires and two suspension ends are what separate a scooter that shrugs off a broken kerb ramp from one that transmits it straight to your knees, and the footboard is 7.3 inches across so both feet have somewhere to go.

Control

Three gears.
One 4.8-inch screen.

Three modes cap the scooter at 6, 12 and 20 mph, so a shared path and an open bike lane are not the same ride. The 4.8-inch LCD reads out speed, battery and mode, switches between mph and km/h, and holds a speed with cruise control once you are moving.

Stopping and being seen

Disc at both ends.
Lit on all four corners.

Front and rear disc brakes are backed by a power-cut brake that drops the motor the moment you pull the lever. For visibility there is a headlight, a taillight, turn signals and ambient deck lighting you can colour from the app — which matters more on a commute that starts or finishes in the dark than any spec sheet suggests.

Carrying it

Folds to 20.1 inches.
Weighs 49.2 pounds.

One fold takes it from 47.6 × 24 × 48.8 inches down to 47.6 × 24 × 20.1. That is the number that decides whether it lives in a hallway, a car boot or under a desk — measure your space against it rather than trusting a general claim, and remember 49.2 pounds is a real lift up a flight of stairs.

Rider fit

Designed for riders 4′3″–6′3″

iSinwheel publishes a payload limit and an age guideline rather than a height range for this model. Comfort still varies with rider build and where you ride.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

How fast does the S Nova go?
iSinwheel rates it at 20 mph in its top gear. Local rules decide where that speed is legal.
What is the difference between 500 W and 600 W?
500 W is the motor's rated power — what it is specified to sustain. 600 W is the maximum it reaches. iSinwheel publishes both.
What range should I expect?
iSinwheel publishes 17 to 19 miles from the 36 V 7.8 Ah pack, measured in a laboratory at full charge. It states the figure varies with load, humidity, wind speed and riding habits. Hills reduce it noticeably.
What riding modes does it have?
Three gears, capped at 6 mph, 12 mph and 20 mph.
What does the display show?
A 4.8-inch LCD showing speed, battery level and riding mode. It switches between mph and km/h, and cruise control is set from the same controls.
What brakes does it have?
A disc brake on each wheel, backed by a power-cut brake that cuts motor power as soon as the lever is pulled.
What tires does it use?
8.5-inch tube-type pneumatic tires, front and rear.
What suspension does it have?
A C-shaped front suspension and a rear spring — suspension at both ends.
Can I ride it in the rain?
iSinwheel rates it IPX4, which is a splash-resistance rating. It is not rated for immersion and should not be ridden through standing water. iSinwheel does not publish a guarantee for riding in rain.
How steep a hill can it climb?
iSinwheel publishes a grade of 15 percent or less. That is the manufacturer's figure, not one KEWELO has measured, and owner reviews mention steeper hills slowing it noticeably.
How much can it carry?
Up to 264 lb. iSinwheel recommends staying near 70 percent of that for the best ride.
How big is it folded?
47.6 × 24 × 20.1 in folded, from 47.6 × 24 × 48.8 in unfolded. It weighs 49.2 lb.
What does the app do?
The isinwheel Club app locks the scooter, adjusts settings, shows ride data and sets the ambient lighting colour.
What are Zero-Start and cruise control?
iSinwheel lists both. Zero-Start means the scooter will not drive away from standstill without a kick; cruise control holds a speed once you are already moving.
How is the S Nova different from the S Nova Pro?
They are separate scooters. The S Nova is the commuter model — 500 W rated, 20 mph, up to 19 miles on 8.5-inch tires. Use the Model control above to move between them.
What's included in the box?
  • S Nova electric scooter
  • Handlebar mounting bolts
