Electric scooter questions
Short answers to what customers ask most before choosing a scooter.
How do I choose an electric scooter?
Start with the ride you actually make: distance, road surface, any hills, and whether you need to carry or store the scooter. Motor performance, battery capacity, tire size, suspension, braking and rider weight limits all follow from that. Each product page lists the specifications the manufacturer states for that model, and our team can help you compare — contact KEWELO.
What affects real-world range?
Rider weight, terrain, riding speed, weather, tire pressure and how much you stop and start all change how far a charge goes. A range figure shown for a product is a manufacturer estimate, not a guarantee — treat it as a way to compare models rather than a distance you should expect on every ride.
What difference do tire types make?
Tire size and construction change comfort, grip and maintenance. Larger tires generally roll over rough surfaces more comfortably; solid tires avoid punctures while pneumatic tires usually absorb more of the road. Where a product page states tire size and type, it appears in that scooter's specifications.
What should I know about braking?
Scooters use different braking systems, and some combine more than one. Braking performance also depends on speed, load, surface and conditions. The braking system for a given model is listed on its product page where the manufacturer states it. Always allow more stopping distance in wet or loose conditions.
How portable are electric scooters?
Portability depends on folded dimensions and weight, both of which vary considerably between models. If you plan to carry a scooter up stairs, lift it onto public transport or store it in a small space, check those figures on the product page before choosing.
Are electric scooters legal everywhere?
Rules for electric scooters differ by state, city and local jurisdiction, and can cover speed, age, helmet use, and where you may ride. Verify the regulations that apply where you ride before purchasing, and follow the manufacturer's operating and safety instructions. See our Terms of Service.
What warranty applies?
Warranty terms vary by product and component, and additional manufacturer coverage may apply. Review our Warranty Policy and the warranty information on the product page before purchasing.
